Je sais, chaque année je m’extasie devant la gamme “Incroyable” de Carrefour : des produits qu’une petite cellule innovation interne à Carrefour imagine, développe et pousse (trop discrètement à mon goût) en rayons.
Pourquoi j’achète ? Parce qu’à chaque fois c’est à la fois bien senti et que ça illustre l’un des rôles que doit endosser une enseigne : concevoir elle-même une part de son offre pour créer de la différenciation. Et si, en plus, il y a une p’tite dose de “génie”, c’est encore mieux. Ça vous rappelle Décathlon et nombre de ses “créations” ?, c’est normal, c’est la même démarche !

Three years later, when I graduated from DSK ISD, it had became a completely different school, with its own methods and an incredible potential. The influence of Philippe’s personality is obvious in the school, and on the students. Creativity, of course, but also organisation, team spirit, experimentation, curiosity…
But a thing I really apreciate with Philippe is that hard work is always fun! Philippe is a guy from north of France who always wears a smile, and that is one great quality that really makes you want to work with him.
Our mentor at school now has left for new horizons with Carrefour Design, andwe can already see it has a bright future…
I hope to work with Philippe again soon, and advice for everyone to do the same when the chance is given!

Philippe Vahe rings as a personality to me and not any more as a design manager. Philippe as the Director of DSKISD India always made sure that under his watch the school progressed not just step by step; in fact leap by leap. An ideal design manager is one who informs every member of the team of his skills and potential. What Philippe did to the whole of DSK ISD India team was much more than just informing them of their potential. He was able to organize the whole body of the school comprising faculties, other staff members, students and even parents into one goal. He was responsible for channeling all the efforts of every member in the school in making DSKISD the best design school in India within a matter of few years. He deserves credit for all the awards won under his watch as he played a key role in pushing the students and faculties working in hand with each other. Apart from organization Philippe’s vast knowledge regarding design and design process makes him a creative manager at all times. It would not be fair if I did not give credit to Philippe for what I have achieved over the years and for what I would be achieving. Similarly to what he did to other students he inspired me to work harder, guiding me throughout my career from both perspectives of design and strategy. To sum it up, Philippe is by far the most inspiring, challenging, fun loving, determined, organized and humane design manager I have met till date. Enough said.
